Ligenesis laser knife supports thermal ablation in respiratory endoscopy
A national respiratory-endoscopy training programme demonstrated laser ablation of stents and granulation tissue with the Ligenesis laser knife.
The eighth respiratory-endoscopy nursing technology and management programme, together with the third respiratory-endoscopy cleaning, disinfection and quality-control course, was held on 13 and 14 November 2021. The programme was organised by the Shanghai Pharmaceutical Profession Association and Shanghai Endoscopy Quality Control Centre, with support from Shanghai Changhai Hospital.
Respiratory-endoscopy specialists, nursing leaders and clinical teams from institutions including Shanghai Changhai Hospital, Shanghai East Hospital and Peking University First Hospital shared practical experience online with peers across China.
He Ying, head nurse at the Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Endoscopy, presented thermal-ablation techniques and related nursing coordination. Using the Ligenesis laser knife as the demonstration platform, she showed how laser energy can ablate airway stents and granulation tissue during respiratory-endoscopy procedures.
The session highlighted the value of precise, minimally invasive thermal ablation in respiratory care and recognised the long-term work behind the Ligenesis laser knife. Ligenesis will continue to pursue its founding vision: improving clinicians’ techniques, reducing patient suffering and lowering the cost of care.
